Cedar Rapids, IA – Covenant Workplace Solutions (CWS), a leading workplace mental health and wellness provider, held its inaugural advisory board meeting on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, where they welcomed new advisory board members James Mayhew (James Mayhew Consulting), Dr. Calla Kleene (Back In Line Chiropractic), and Cristiane AbouAssaly (Bankers Trust). Dr. Jacob Christenson and Nicholas D’Amico (Covenant Family Solutions) were also in attendance as existing advisory board members.

During the meeting, CWS Head of Operations and Owner, Zach Schmit, expressed his excitement about the new additions to the advisory board. “Each advisory board member brings a unique set of experiences, perspective, and expertise to the table to help inform key decision-making that will help us to continue raising the bar for employee assistance programs and overall corporate mental health and wellness resources. We are incredibly fortunate to have them in our corner,” he said.

CWS is committed to offering a broad range of resources through its EAP private member portal that meets individuals where they are and speeding up the process of getting employees in for their EAP sessions. This initiative is particularly important given the statistics around mental health disorders in America. According to Johns Hopkins and the National Institute of Mental Health Disorders, an estimated 26% of Americans ages 18 and older — about 1 in 4 adults — suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year.

CWS Head of Sales and Owner, Chad Charkowski, explained, “We’ve been able to apply creative methods that drive EAP utilization to new heights in ways that a lot of employers haven’t experienced with their EAP before. They are seeing a direct improvement in the workplace culture and overall employee engagement as a result.”
